On Sunday, fans got to experience something new: what a bench-clearing brawl sounds like.
A’s outfielder Ramon Laureano was displeased about being hit by a pitch for the second time in Oakland’s 7-2 win over the Astros. Laureano was jawing at the Houston bench when Astros hitting coach Alex Cintron appeared to extend an invitation to Laureano to fight.
Laureano took Cintron up on the offer and charged at the Astros dugout setting off a bench-clearing brawl.
With no fan noise to drown out the players, this is what it sounded like:
