For Pete's Sake

Here is a closer look at a Ferrari 812 Superfast, which Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes bought

Life moves fast.

Who could have guessed just a month ago that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes would receive a half-billion dollar contract extension and become part-owner of the Royals?

Both happened this month, and he also got a really nice car.

ESPN’s Louis Riddick shared a photo of Mahomes’ new Ferrari:

That has been identified as a Ferrari 812 Superfast. According to Ferrari’s website, this is “the most powerful and fastest road-going Ferrari ever built (with the exception, of course, of the rear-engined special limited-series 12-cylinders).“

Car and Driver said the Ferrari 812 Superfast has a 6.5-liter, 789-horsepower V-12 engine, and it has a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. It can reach 62 mph in less than three seconds, 124 mph in 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 211 mph.

Here is a closer look at the Ferrari 812 Superfast:

The cost of a 2020 Ferrari 812 Superfast starts at $338,000, per Car and Driver. Mahomes didn’t need to dip into his future earnings for the car. Spotrac shows Mahomes has already made $13.7 million and that doesn’t include his endorsement deals.
