Chris Jones isn't going to sit out 2 straight years. He deserves 20 million. Absolutely. But he can ask himself if the Chiefs offer 18 if the difference between that 2 million is going somewhere that doesn't have Pat Mahomes as his QB during his prime if that's worth it.

It's not about worth. It's about paying a team with a certain amount of money. Now that the Chiefs have Mahomes I would love no salary cap. But there is and only so much can be done. Chris Jones has been the consament professional and I wish the Chiefs could pay him.
