For Pete's Sake

Chiefs’ Travis Kelce joins MLB, NBA stars in Old Spice hair care advertisement

With the Chiefs being Super Bowl champions, it’s only natural players would land some national advertisement deals.

On Monday, tight end Travis Kelce shared his new spot for Old Spice’s hair-care products Monday on his Instagram page.

Kelce was joined by Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro and a pair of Major League Baseball stars, the Dodgers’ Cody Bellinger and Brewers’ Christian Yelich, for a “Hair is Awesome. Hats are Dumb” spot for Old Spice’s stylers.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the four pro athletes to be in a quasi-Zoom call near the start of the ad, then Kelce explained hat stands for “Hair Ain’t There,” which as a follically-challenged individual hits a little too close to home.

This is Kelce’s spot:

Kelce had previous done an Old Spice campaign on beard care with his brother, Jason, who is the center for the Philadelphia Eagles.
