Chiefs’ Mitchell Schwartz loves KC so much he decided to call it home when career ends
Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz grew up in California and played college football there.
After being drafted by the Browns, Schwartz spent his first four NFL seasons in Cleveland.
Schwartz left the Browns as a free agent, signing with the Chiefs ahead of the 2016 season.
At age 31, Schwartz has many good years ahead of him in the NFL. But he has looked ahead to the day when he will no longer play football.
Having lived in three parts of the country, Schwartz wants to call Kansas City his home once his career ends. Schwartz announced the news on Twitter and Instagram after he and his wife, Brooke, bought a house.
“KC felt like home when we first moved here, and now it’s going to be home forever!” Schwartz wrote. “We’re so excited to settle down here long term and continue being a part of the KC community!”
