Michael Porter Jr.’s tweet about George Floyd’s death elicits fiery response

The video of George Floyd, a black man, being pinned down by his neck by a white police officer in Minneapolis Monday quickly went viral after Floyd’s death.

On Tuesday, four officers who were on the scene that day were fired. According to the BBC, police said Floyd died after a “medical incident” in a “police interaction.”

The incident has been and continues to be widely discussed on social media, and former Mizzou star Michael Porter Jr., offered his thoughts Wednesday via Twitter.

Porter, who plays for the Denver Nuggets, said prayers should go out to Floyd’s family and the officers who were fired.
