Chiefs’ 2020 schedule to be released Thursday. Here’s how and when to watch.
In a typical year, we may not need a three-hour special from the NFL Network dedicated to the release of the 2020 schedule.
This year, however, is abnormal, given the absence of live sports.
And so, “Schedule Release ‘20,” is coming on Thursday night. It’ll be a “show breaking down the upcoming 2020 NFL regular season with analysis of the biggest games, how divisions are looking and the primetime showdowns,” as the NFL Network noted.
The show will begin at 7 p.m., but the Chiefs are planning to trump the NFL’s show by releasing the schedule at 6:15 p.m. on Facebook.
Among the big reveals will be the opening night game on Thursday, Sept. 10. Speculation has been ongoing about who the Chiefs, as defending Super Bowl champions, might play that night.
The Chiefs have a number of high-profile games on their schedule, including five meetings against 2019 playoff teams: Texans and Patriots at Arrowhead Stadium and road games against the Saints, Ravens and Bills. They also play at Tampa Bay, the new home for quarterback Tom Brady.
A year ago, the Chiefs played five prime-time games, and there is no reason to think that won’t be the case this fall because the Chiefs are the defending champions and have the popular Patrick Mahomes at quarterback.
Here is the Chiefs’ 2020 opponents:
HOME
New England Patriots
New York Jets
Houston Texans
Atlanta Falcons
Carolina Panthers
Denver Broncos
Las Vegas Raiders
Los Angeles Chargers
ROAD
Baltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
