Chiefs share ‘Sights and Sounds’ video recap of Week 8 last-second win over Vikings
Ask a Chiefs fan to name a favorite game from the 2019 season and the answer is likely Super Bowl LIV.
But what regular-season game is best-remembered by fans?
Maybe it’s the win over the Chargers in the season finale that clinched the No. 2 seed in the playoffs? Perhaps it’s one of the blowout victories over the Raiders.
But the Chiefs’ victory by the slimmest of margins from the 2019 season came on Nov. 3 against the Minnesota Vikings. With quarterback Patrick Mahomes still recovering from a dislocated kneecap, backup Matt Moore made a second straight start.
The Vikings entered the game with a 6-2 record and led by three points with under 7 minutes to play. Moore engineered a drive that led to a game-tying field goal, and after the defense got a three-and-out, a bad punt gave the Chiefs a short field.
After being sacked, Moore completed two passes and got the Chiefs into field-goal range again. Butker made a 44-yard kick as time expired giving the Chiefs a 26-23 win.

After the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV, a number of Matt Moore appreciations were shared on various social-media posts.
The Vikings game is why. Moore completed 25 of 35 passes for 275 yards and a touchdown, and the win enabled the Chiefs to get the playoff bye.
