Fox Sports KC to air playoff games from Royals’ 2015 World Series championship run

Here’s a good question for debate: which playoff comeback against a Houston team is the most famous in Kansas City history?

Is it the Chiefs’ 51-31 win over the Texans in January or the Royals’ 9-6 victory over the Astros in 2015?

Trailing 6-2 after seven innings, the Royals faced elimination from their American League Division Series before scoring five in the eighth inning and twice in the ninth inning for a stunning win.

That game will be shown again this month as Fox Sports Kansas City plans to re-air all of the Royals’ playoff games, including the 2015 World Series. The network also will show three regular-season games from the 2019 season.

Here is the schedule, and FSKC is expected to show more games this month, perhaps additional important contests from 2015.

Sunday, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.: Royals at A’s (Sept. 16, 2019)

On Monday at 4:30 p.m., FSKC will air a show called “Grillin’ The AL Central,” a roundtable discussion with Fox broadcasters who cover the division. The Royals’ Ryan Lefebvre and Rex Hudler and will be joined by broadcasters from Detroit (Matt Shepard and Jack Morris), Minnesota (Dick Bremer and Bert Blyleven), Cleveland (Matt Underwood and Jensen Lewis) and Chicago (Bruce Levine and AJ Pierzynski).

If you’re in the mood for watching another Kansas City team win a championship, this game is on the schedule:

May 9, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.: U.S. Open Cup Final: Sporting Kansas City vs. New York Red Bulls, Sept. 20, 2017
