For Pete's Sake

Former Pro Bowl safety believes Eagles have fastest set of receivers in NFL

Days before Super Bowl LIV, Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill expressed his hope to one day compete in high-level relay races, perhaps even the Olympics.

Along with Mecole Hardman, Sammy Watkins and Byron Pringle, Hill is part of the Chiefs’ “Legion of Zoom.” Yes, the Chiefs have speed to burn.

However, ESPN’s Ryan Clark, a Pro Bowler with the Steelers who also played with the Giants and Washington, was smitten with the Eagles receivers after the NFL Draft.

In the first round, Philadelphia grabbed TCU receiver Jalen Reagor with the 21st overall pick, and then traded for 49ers receiver Marquise Goodwin on Saturday and drafted Quez Watkins with the 200th overall pick.

The Eagles also had 33-year-old DeSean Jackson, so Clark was convinced the Eagles’ receiving corps is the fastest in the NFL.

A Twitter user tried to tamp down that talk, but Clark was adamant:

A Chiefs fan did a side-by-side comparison:

And Hill simply laughed away Clark’s talk:

Perhaps Clark meant fastest in the NFC, not the NFL.
