Peyton Manning narrated a stirring, hopeful video to kick off NFL Draft

The NFL Draft kicked things off by pulling at the heartstrings.

Thursday’s broadcast on ESPN started with a video narrated by former Colts/Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning that touched on the difficult times we’ve all faced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

But it struck a hopeful note as it talked about how football can bring people together and a sense of normalcy when the coronavirus threat has ended.

“For this draft, we’re not the Raider Nation or Cheeseheads, we’re not red and gold or white and blue,” Manning said. We’re one football family sharing our hope with all of you.”
