For Pete's Sake

Chiefs pick last in first round of NFL Draft. Here are others who were drafted 32nd.

Each team has 10 minutes to make a pick in the first round of the NFL Draft, so it usually takes about four hours until all the choices have been made.

Keep that in mind if you’re a Chiefs fan who wants to witness who the team will take in the draft on Thursday. As the defending Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs get to have a parade and pick last in the draft.

So it could be 11 p.m. or later when the Chiefs announce the newest addition to the team. And that time frame doesn’t include any potential delays because of technical issues, a real concern since the draft, which starts at 7 p.m., will be done via video conference.

If you’ve wondered how the 32nd pick in the NFL Draft has performed, here is a look at players who were selected in that spot since 2010:

2019: Patriots pick WR K’Neal Harry of Arizona State

In seven games, Harry caught 12 passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

2018: Ravens pick QB Lamar Jackson of Louisville

Won last year’s NFL MVP award and has thrown 42 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 31 career games.

2017: Saints pick T Ryan Ramczyk of Wisconsin

In three seasons, he’s started 47 of the Saints’ 48 regular-season games.

2016: Browns pick DE Emmanuel Ogbah of Oklahoma State (first pick of second round)

He has 18 career sacks, including 5 1/2 last season with the Chiefs.

2015: Patriots pick DT Malcom Brown of Texas

Brown started all 16 games for the Saints last year, after helping the Patriots win a pair of Super Bowls.

2014: Vikings pick QB Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville

After nearly losing his leg after a practice injury, Bridgewater rekindled his career last year with the Saints. He signed a $63 million deal with the Panthers.

2013: Ravens pick DB Matt Elam of Florida

Had two interceptions a fumble recovery in 41 careers games. Last played in 2016.

2012: Giants pick RB David Wilson of Virginia Tech

Rushed for 504 yards in 115 attempts over 21 games in three seasons.

2011: Packers pick T Derek Sherrod of Mississippi State

Appeared in 20 games over four seasons and last played in 2014.

2010: Saints pick DB Patrick Robinson of Florida State

In 111 career games, Robinson has 14 interceptions. He started 11 games for the Saints last season.

The Steelers picked DT Ziggy Hood of Mizzou in 2009.

The Patriots picked G Logan Mankins of Fresno State in 2005.

The Patriots picked TE Ben Watson of Georgia in 2004.

The Chargers picked QB Drew Brees of Purdue in 2001.
