For Pete's Sake

NFL Network analyst gushes while reviewing Bashaud Breeland’s biggest plays for Chiefs

Three weeks ago, NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger couldn’t believe Bashaud Breeland was available on the free-agent market.

Baldinger said Breeland “locked down the left cornerback job from the very first week of the season ... and all he did was ball out each and every week.”

To illustrate his point, Baldinger broke down film of Breeland’s biggest plays for the Chiefs, from his end-zone interception of Raiders quarterback Derek Carr in Week 2 to a pick in Super Bowl LIV.

In between was the interception of Tom Brady and the game-sealing play of the Chiefs’ win at New England, the 100-yard fumble return at Detroit and pushing aside the 49ers’ George Kittle for a key tackle in the Super Bowl LIV.

Not all of those plays made Baldinger’s breakdown, but he won’t have to wonder about Breeland’s future. The Chiefs and Breeland reportedly have a deal for the 2020 season.

Here is Baldinger’s glowing review of Breeland’s season for the Chiefs:
