John Sherman, Royals players record public service announcement about coronavirus
In normal circumstances, pitchers don’t want to throw a flat curve.
But there is nothing ordinary about life these days. That’s why the Royals’ Brad Keller and Ian Kennedy were talking about ways to help flattening the curve.
Not their pitches, of course. This was about cutting down on the number of people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The public has been encouraged to flatten the curve and reduce the death rate associated with the coronavirus.
The Royals on Friday released a public service announcement featuring owner John Sherman, general manager Dayton Moore, pitchers Danny Duffy (and his dog, Sadie), Keller and Kennedy, as well as Whit Merrifield, Alex Gordon, Hunter Dozier and Nicky Lopez.
Mayor Quinton Lucas makes an appearance, too:
