Classic Chiefs game and a KU basketball tripleheader are on TV schedule this week
The teams combined for 105 points, 14 touchdowns and 1,001 yards, all before a national television audience that was bedazzled.
The Chiefs’ 54-51 loss to the Rams on Nov. 20, 2018 on “Monday Night Football” also featured five lead changes and is considered one of the NFL’s best in recent memory.
That’s why the game will be aired Monday at 7 p.m. on ESPN, which will show great games from the past 15 years each week for the next five weeks. For sports fans at home because of coronavirus, this should be an appealing option.
The Chiefs’ loss at New England on “Sunday Night Football,” also from the 2018 season, will be shown Sunday.
The Chiefs aren’t the only area team that will have a game shown this week.
On Saturday, the CBS Sports Network will show three straight NCAA national championship games featuring Kansas.
At 2 p.m., it will air the 2012 title game between KU and Kentucky, which the Wildcats won 67-59.
Kansas’ 83-79 upset of Oklahoma in the 1988 national championship game will follow at 4 p.m.
The 2003 title game will cap the tripleheader at 6 p.m. Kansas lost 81-78 to Syracuse in what would be Roy Williams’ final game as Jayhawks’ coach.
Fox Sports Kansas City will re-air more Royals games this week as well.
Tuesday: A 9-0 win at Seattle on June 18, 2019.
Thursday: A 9-8 walk-off win over Cleveland from April 14, 2019.
Sunday: A 15-3 win over the Tigers from May 4, 2019.
