Chiefs plan to let fans ‘ReLIV’ Super Bowl season with re-release of their content

Most fans may be homebound for the foreseeable future because of the coronavirus pandemic, but the Chiefs hope to recreate each game week from their championship season without anyone needing to step outdoors.

Every Thursday and Sunday for 10 weeks, the Chiefs will “ReLIV” their historic season. On those days, the Chiefs will make available its pregame and postgame content from a specific week’s games.

That includes “Kingdom Conversations” between Chiefs announcer Mitch Holthus and reporter BJ Kissel, who discussed an upcoming game. On game days, the Chiefs host a “Field Pass” show before kickoff, then have a “Chiefs Rewind” that wraps up the game.

Those programs and others will be on the Chiefs website.

“At the end of each day’s content recap, fans are encouraged to use NFL Game Pass to watch the full or condensed version of the corresponding game,” the Chiefs wrote in news release. “The NFL is currently offering complimentary access to NFL Game Pass, offering access to past regular and postseason NFL games.”

Additionally, every Wednesday afternoon during the 10 weeks, the Chiefs will livestream “Watch Party Wednesday” on YouTube. A condensed version of the week’s games will be shown and Kissel and Chiefs digital media producer Matt McMullen will discuss the game, which this week will be the season-opener at Jacksonville.
