Big 12 Tournament ticket prices have plummeted on the secondary market
There are some real deals to be had for Big 12 basketball fans.
Tickets for one the early men’s sessions of the Big 12 Tournament at the Sprint Center are going for roughly the price of some large specialty drinks at Starbucks.
Whether its concerns about the coronavirus or unappealing matchups, tickets were being sold for as little as $4 on the secondary market. The face value of tickets is between $33 and $350.
Here’s a closer look at some of the online sites selling Big 12 Tournament tickets:
Tickets for Less has all-session men’s passes available for $195, and Wednesday’s first session tickets (Iowa State-Oklahoma State and Kansas State-TCU) were as little as $9. Tickets for Session 2, which features Kansas on Thursday, were at $35, but the Session 3 games, which follows, are also $9.
Vivid Seats has a low of $181 for all-session men’s passes, and $6 for Session 1. The cost is just $4 a ticket for Session 3, which is the Oklahoma-West Virginia and Baylor-TCU/K-State games. The Jayhawks’ contest has tickets for as little as $25, but that site charges fees.
The breakdown for Tick Pick range from $6 for Session 3 games to $37 for Session 2 contests. This site doesn’t have service fees.
StubHub shows $120 all-session passes, $6 tickets for Sessions 1 and 3 and $25 tickets for Session 2. This site also has fees, which raises the price on the odd-numbered sessions to $9 per ticket.
