With six points from two games, Sporting KC is tied atop the Western Conference standings with Minnesota and Colorado. And while Atlanta is also unbeaten in the East, none of those three teams has a goal differential as dominant as Kansas City, which is plus-six.
Sporting Kansas City hopes to claim a third MLS Cup, having won previously in 2000 and 2013, and it’s a good omen that forward Alan Pulido has scored in each of his first two games.
