Some Royals fans express their dissatisfaction with Alex Rios
“Rios” was the top Twitter trend in Kansas City on Saturday afternoon.
That can be a good or bad thing, and unfortunately for Royals outfielder Alex Rios, it was the latter.
Here is a sampling of the things fans were tweeting about Rios, who was hitless in four at-bats with two strikeouts in the Royals’ 3-2 loss to the Cardinals. He did have an assist, throwing out Matt Carpenter at second base. But Rios also appeared to make a misplay on another ball.
Mom on Rios: "Even I'm not happy with him, and I'm very nice."

I look forward to one day telling my children about Infante and Rios battling to become MLB's worst everyday player. #Royals
