For Pete's Sake

Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes will join Tiffany Haddish, Trae Young on HBO’s ‘The Shop’

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes didn’t have a playbook for this.

Mahomes joined a star-studded group for Saturday’s episode of HBO’s “The Shop: Uninterrupted,” which is billed as a collaboration between Lakers star LeBron James and businessman Maverick Carter, who is the show’s host.

HBO calls it “a one-of-a-kind barbershop experience, which for many provides a sanctuary for free-flowing and spirited discussions. The series will visit barbershops around the country to gather distinguished individuals who can speak honestly on sports, music, world events, business and other subjects integral to the culture.”

Mahomes will appear in Saturday’s episode, which airs at 9 p.m., with actress/comedian Tiffany Haddish, actor Chadwick Boseman, Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, rapper/record producer Roddy Ricch and others.

HBO said the episode was filmed in Chicago.

Mahomes, the MVP of Super Bowl LIV, retweeted this teaser from HBO:
