For Pete's Sake

Nike unveils stirring Kobe Bryant tribute commercial that has no images or video

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but Nike put out a new commercial that honors Kobe Bryant without any photos or videos.

The video was released Monday, the day of Bryant’s memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Bryant, the former Los Angeles Lakers star, died on Jan. 26 in a helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight other people, including Bryant’s daughter, Gianna.

The commercial from Nike looks back at Bryant’s career, his love of coaching and being a husband and father.

Watch the commercial above, and make sure the sound is on.
