For Pete's Sake

Rory McIlroy showed his ‘fire power’ with a stunning 410-yard drive at WGC-Mexico

Granted, the Club de Golf Chapultepec is nearly 8,000 feet about sea level, but this is still prodigious. And ridiculous.

Rory McIlroy stepped to the tee at the 12th hole on Saturday at the WGC-Mexico Championship. It’s a 415-yard par-4, and McIlroy reached the green with one swing.

The PGA said McIlroy’s drive traveled 410 yards.

Despite having a chance at eagle, McIlroy birdied the hole after this amazing drive (video from the European Tour and the PGA):

As the announcer noted, that’s McIlroy showing off his “fire power.”
