For Pete's Sake

Yep, that’s Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch in latest ‘Westworld’ trailer

It’s unlikely there will be a character named Beastmode in HBO’s “Westworld,” but Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch showed up in a trailer for the next season of the show.

Lynch could be seen walking behind Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” fame in the trailer. Although IMDB shows Paul will appear in eight episodes, Lynch’s name is absent from the cast list.

Nevertheless, Lynch is expected to get some air time in the show.

ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez wrote: “HBO execs couldn’t reveal too much about Lynch’s role, lest the plot also be exposed, but a spokesperson for the network said Lynch is expected to have a ‘fun and pretty substantial role’ as he veers from his football persona.”

Is Hollywood in Lynch’s future? Well, he already appeared in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “The League,” and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported last month that Lynch could retire (for a third time) from football. Lynch had returned from retirement to join the Seahawks again in December. He played one regular-season game, then scored three touchdowns in Seattle’s two playoff games.

“Westworld” will return on March 15. Here is the trailer and look for Lynch at the 54 second mark (be aware there is cursing in this clip):
