Chiefs safety Juan Thornhill tweeted a heartbreaking message during Super Bowl LIV

Chiefs safety Juan Thornhill’s rookie year came to an abrupt end when the ACL in his left knee was torn in the regular-season finale against the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.

That has relegated Thornhill to the role of a spectator during the postseason, much to his chagrin.

Thornhill, who during the regular season had 58 tackles and three interceptions, including a pick-six, found it particularly rough to watch the Chiefs on Sunday in Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers.

At halftime, as Shakira and Jennifer Lopez wowed the Hard Rock Stadium crowd, Thornhill took to Twitter with this message:
