Patrick Mahomes was fired up after scoring Chiefs’ first touchdown in Super Bowl 54

The Chiefs scored their first touchdown at Super Bowl LIV on Sunday on an option play.

With the ball on the 49ers’ 1-yard line late in the first quarter, quarterback Patrick Mahomes decided to keep the ball instead of pitching it to Damien Williams and found the end zone.

It was the Chiefs’ first touchdown in a Super Bowl since Otis Taylor’s 46-yard catch-and-run on a pass from Len Dawson in the third quarter of Super Bowl IV.

Mahomes was the first quarterback to score a rushing touchdown in a Super Bowl since former San Francisco QB Colin Kaepernick in Super Bowl XLVII against the Ravens.
