Next Gen Stats reveal remarkable feats Sunday by Chiefs’ Frank Clark, Mecole Hardman

There was no one turning point in the Chiefs’ 51-31 win Sunday over the Houston Texas.

Daniel Sorensen stuffed a would-be fake punt by the Texans, Patrick Mahomes kept throwing touchdown passes and the Chiefs forced a fumble on a kickoff return.

But the first spark came on Mecole Hardman’s 58-yard kickoff return after the Chiefs had fallen behind 24-0 in the AFC Divisional Playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium.

The NFL’s Next Gen Stats showed Hardman reached a top speed of 21.85 mph on the return and said no NFL ball carrier has had more touches that topped 21.5 mph than Hardman.
