Trevor Bauer has been throwing shade at Astros since MLB punishment was announced

Talk about a bad 24 hours for Houston sports fans.

First the Texans coughed up a 24-0 lead and were beaten 51-31 by the Chiefs in an AFC Divisional Playoff game on Sunday.

On Monday, Major League Baseball handed down penalties regarding the Astros cheating scandal from the 2017 season. Houston was stripped of its first-and second-round picks in the next two drafts and Astros manager AJ Hinch and general manager Jeff Luhnow were suspended for one season.

Shortly after that news broke, Astros owner Jim Crane fired Hinch and Luhnow.

Trevor Bauer, who had previously implied the Astros were doing something fishy to increase spin rates when he was with the Indians, had some fun at Houston’s expense on Twitter.

Bauer, who is now with the Cincinnati Reds, shared these tweets, starting with Hinch addressing the rumors of Houston cheating:

Bauer and Astros pitcher Lance McCullers have had a few Twitter exchanges, so Bauer simply offered this greeting:

Bauer then used Phil Collins and a clip of Bauer giving up a home run during a 2018 American League Divisional Series to poke fun at the Astros:

Bauer also threw shade at Collin McHugh, who was part of the Astros 2017 World Series team:
