The win probability charts from Chiefs’ victory over Houston were predictably nutty

Win probability Charts for NFL games generally don’t include dramatic rises or falls.

Then again, we’ve never seen a game like the Chiefs’ 51-31 win over the Houston Texans in Sunday’s AFC Divisional Playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium.

First, the Texans raced to a 24-0 lead in the game’s opening 20 minutes. Then the Chiefs scored three touchdowns in a span of 3 minutes and 24 seconds. By halftime, the Chiefs had a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

At one point, the win probability went from a 91.3% chance the Texans would win to 58.8% chance the Chiefs would win in under 4 minutes, as Twitter user Cody Bashore shared on Twitter:
