Chiefs’ Daniel Sorensen stuffs Texans’ fake-punt attempt, forces fumble on kickoff

After a dreadful performance by the Chiefs special teams in the first quarter of Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff game against the Texans, the unit redeemed itself in the second quarter.

Trailing 24-0, Mecole Hardman’s kickoff return set the Chiefs up in great field position and they scored a touchdown. Houston went three-and-out on its next possession and set up to punt

But the Texans tried to catch the Chiefs napping. It didn’t work.

The ball was snapped to Justin Reid, but Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen stuffed Reid short of a first down.

It was an incredible play that gave the Chiefs great field position and they ended up scoring a touchdown.
