For Pete's Sake

Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes appeared to have trouble with throwing hand after this play

The Chiefs got off to a rough start during Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The Patriots scored a touchdown on their first drive after the Chiefs were flagged twice for pass interference and then bit hard on a flea flicker.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw an interception on Kansas City’s first drive.

On the Chiefs’ second drive, Mahomes appeared to be dealing with a hand issue after this play, in which his right hand landed hard on the turf at Gillette Stadium:

After leading the Chiefs to a field goal, Mahomes was seen on the sidelines having his hand examined by team officials. Mahomes then gave a thumbs-up and seemed prepared to stay in the game.
