California couple believes vandals totaled their truck because Chiefs beat Raiders

A San Diego television station reported a Chiefs fan living in California stepped out of his home Monday and found his truck had been vandalized.

Jesse Wilson, who lives in Fallbrook, California, is a Chiefs fan and displayed his loyalty on the truck. That, he believes, may have been why his truck was damaged.

This is from 10news.com: “The truck’s back window, covered by a Chiefs sticker, was crushed into bits. A plastic Chiefs decal on the back of the truck was carefully chiseled off. A Chiefs flag that had been hanging at the front of the home was found more than 100 feet away, shredded and next to the truck.”

Wilson told ABC 10 News the truck was totaled and he believes vandals used an ax that was sitting next to the house.

The alleged incident happened hours after the Chiefs beat the Raiders, and Wilson’s wife, Kelly, doesn’t believe that’s a coincidence.

“Absolutely it was a message,” Kelly Wilson told the station.

“Makes me frustrated that something my husband loves so much could fuel so much hatred in someone else. It’s a game. It’s supposed to be fun,” she added.

Here is the television station’s report:
