Next Gen Stats determined this Vikings TD was ‘most open deep completion this season’

The Vikings may have lost 37-30 to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night, but one of Minnesota’s touchdowns was singled out by the NFL’s Next Gen Stats.

In the fourth quarter, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins found receiver Laquon Treadwell wide, wide, wide open for a 58-yard touchdown pass.

If viewers thought it was odd Treadwell could be that open, well, it was.

According to the NFL’s Next Gen Stats, the nearest defender was 14 yards away when Treadwell caught the ball. NextGen Stats determined it was “most open deep completion this season.”
