‘How do you complete that pass?’ Patrick Mahomes’ throw wows CBS announcer Jim Nantz

It goes down in the official stats as an 11-yard pass from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce during Sunday’s game against the Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.

However, this was anything but normal.

After taking the snap, Mahomes backpedaled, backpedaled and then dropped back some more on the play. Mahomes was 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage when he floated the pass to Kelce.

“How do you complete that pass?” CBS announcer Jim Nantz asked.

Tony Romo said: “I just wanted you to know that no one else is even attempting that.”
