The Hurdle, Part 3: Kareem Hunt leaps another defender on way to a TD vs. Denver

OK, that was waaaaaaay better than kicking a field goal.

The Chiefs faced a fourth-and-1 play from Denver’s 23-yard line and something amazing happened.

After initially sending out the field-goal unit, the Chiefs took a timeout and ran another creative play. Faking an option play, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes instead threw a shovel pass to Kareem Hunt. What Hunt did after that was incredible.

Hunt broke from a couple Broncos defenders and leaped over Denver safety Will Parks. It was the second straight week that Hunt had hurdled a would-be tackler. He also did it against the Patriots earlier this season.

Take a look at Sunday’s play:

As Kevin Harlan noted: “Holy Toledo!”
