The fact that this pass likely won’t be remembered at the end of the Chiefs season speaks to the strength of Patrick Mahomes’ right arm.
During the third quarter of the Chiefs’ “Sunday Night Football” game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Mahomes dropped back to pass and faced pressure.
A Bengals defender hit Mahomes in the right arm and at that point you couldn’t have blamed Mahomes for either running or looking for a receiver who was near to him.
Mahomes chose option 3. He threw a deep pass to receiver Sammy Watkins that resulted in a 50-yard pass.
