David Price’s adorable son had no interest in joining dad at postgame news conference
Given the chance, Red Sox left-hander David Price wasn’t going alone to a news conference Thursday after Game 5 of the American League Championship Series.
No, Price brought his 17-month-old son Xavier to meet the press after he struck out nine in six scoreless innings and helped the Red Sox beat the Astros 4-1 and clinch the AL pennant.
Here’s the thing: Xavier didn’t seem all that excited to be there. Oh, sure the microphone was a fun thing to grab, but that kind of entertainment can get old quickly.
So Xavier let it be known that he wanted get off dad’s lap. Price eventually did hand off his son to another family member, likely his wife Tiffany, who by the way went to Kansas State.
