West Virginia dropped its entire defense into coverage and KU still completed a pass

It’s fair to say this didn’t go as planned for West Virginia.

In the third quarter of the Mountaineers’ 38-22 win over Kansas on Saturday, the Jayhawks faced a third-and-15 play from their own 20-yard line.

After the snap, the Mountaineers’ defense dropped everyone back in to pass coverage. Yep, all 11 players as no one rushed.

KU quarterback Peyton Bender then completed a 35-yard pass to Jeremiah Booker. So, yeah, that’s now how West Virginia envisioned things would go.
