KC cheers as Mike Moustakas delivers walk-off hit for Brewers in playoff opener

For a while, it appeared that a former Royal would be the goat for the Milwaukee Brewers in the opening game of their National League Divisional Series with the Rockies.

Jeremy Jeffress, a former Royals pitcher, allowed two runs in the top of the ninth inning. That allowed Colorado to tie the game at 2-2. But in the 10th inning, former Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas came through with a game-winning RBI single that won it for the Brewers.

A “Moooooose” call followed at Miller Park as Brewers fans celebrated (and oh by the way, Moustakas’ former Royals teammate Joakim Soria got the win).

While Moustakas was traded to Milwaukee from the Royals this summer, that didn’t stop people in Kansas City from cheering, too.
