People are upset Maroon 5 was picked for halftime show at Super Bowl in Atlanta

OK, someone fumbled the ball on this one.

Variety reported Wednesday that Maroon 5 will perform at halftime of Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta. That city has a rich musical heritage, including being home to an amazing number of hip-hop artists.

So, with no disrespect to Maroon 5, many people were wondering why an artist from Atlanta was not chosen to do the halftime show.

Seems like a no-brainer, right?
