After the NFL championship games ended on Sunday, the Patriots were a 5  1/2 -point favorite in Super Bowl LII, but the line started lowering not long after that, CBS Sports reported.

The odds at one casino went from 5  1/2 points 4  1/2 points after just one bet was made this week with MGM’s sportsbooks in Las Vegas.

ESPN reported that on Wednesday, “a bettor placed a ‘multimillion-dollar’ bet on the underdog Eagles, according to MGM vice president of race and sports Jay Rood.”

The ESPN story says that exact amount of the bet was not disclosed, but Rood said it was multimillions, “making it one of the largest reported bets in recent years in Nevada.”

Obviously, this person was impressed by Philadelphia’s dominating victory over the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game.

There was no word on if the person made a straight bet or if it was based on the line, but he or she is going to be very interested in the outcome of the Super Bowl.
