Chiefs’ Alex Smith delivered a downfield block against the Titans

“All he wants to do is win.”

That’s what ESPN analyst/new Raiders coach Jon Gruden noted after watching Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith run downfield and deliver a block to a Titans defender during Saturday’s AFC Wild Card Game.

Smith had delivered a pass to Tyreek Hill in the second quarter, and Hill ran back across the field. That’s when Smith sprang into action. He searched for — and found — a Tennessee defensive player to block to give Hill some more running room.

It’s not what most quarterbacks would do, but Smith didn’t hesitate.
