For Pete's Sake

Fox Sports trolled the Chiefs before Sunday’s game

Et tu, Fox Sports?

While Chiefs fans have fretted about their team’s recent slump, Fox Sports decided to poke fun about the recent lack of success on Sunday.

Actor Richard Riehle, known for his roles in “Office Space,” “The Fugitive” and more, is dressed in a Chiefs sweater and sits in a rocking chair near a fireplace with a Christmas tree in the room. Riehle regales two children about Kansas City’s success back in his day ... seven weeks ago.

They are stunned to hear that the 6-5 Chiefs were once 5-0.

“There was even talk of Alex Smith being MVP,” Riehle tells the kids.

A little girl responds: “They need to start Patrick Mahomes.”

Take a look:

Turns out the the timing of the video was perfect because the Chiefs lost again and dropped to 6-6 on the season.

Chiefs' fans were upset following a 16-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium, and they let the team hear it. Video courtesy of Hank Mendy. WARNING: VIDEO CONTAINS GRAPHIC LANGUAGE.
