Duke routs Michigan State and many fans blame the referees
Duke thumped Michigan State 81-61 in the national semifinals on Saturday in Indianapolis, and you’d like to think the referees couldn’t possibly have affected the outcome of the game.
Many people, however, disagree:
Duke has some nice new uniforms pic.twitter.com/N1FLiwhXFa
— Brandon Rickert (@itztrickyricky) April 4, 2015These officials are definitely Duke alumni
— Kdeezy (@kdeezy28) April 4, 2015For some reason having "DUKE" written across your chest helps you draw fouls...
— Vegas Ute (@VegasUte) April 4, 2015How I feel about this State vs Duke game. I'm Fletcher and Neyman is the refs. pic.twitter.com/6EXznXOgDE
— Jacob Gaberdiel (@JacobG927) April 5, 2015Every time Duke steps on the floor they have 8 guys....this officials are atrocious @NCAA
— Ryan Boyle (@RyanBoyle25) April 4, 2015I will never understand why the ref cater to Duke so consistently. It's unwatchable.
— The Gruff (@TheGruffSpartan) April 4, 2015Haven't watched much college basketball this year, nice to see the Duke/referee relationship still includes heavy petting.
— Chris Baker (@TheChrisBakery) April 4, 2015"And now, starting for duke, the 6 foot senior citizen, the referee!!!!!! pic.twitter.com/dm3aKaoDFr
— Michael Lionas (@manoli0426) April 4, 2015“@FarranTraveler: Whaddaya know, phantom fouls in Duke’s favor!”
— Cantin (@ChrisCanteen) April 4, 2015Don't want to sound like a biased Spartan fan but the refs AND commentators are so pro-Duke it's disgusting
— Brandon Patrone (@bpatrone86) April 4, 2015Duke is gonna be tough to beat but only because theres a foul called anytime theyre guarded
— Evan Brock (@evan_brock30) April 4, 2015Free throws are 26 to 9 in favor of Duke, but who didn't expect that??? lol
— StarChile (@StarChile) April 4, 2015Duke is in the double bonus with 7 minutes to go.... That's not even basketball
— Will On Chill™ (@DouBle_Dosx) April 5, 2015Duke was going to win this game anyway, but this officiating is absolutely absurd.
— Mark Urbanek (@UrbanekMark) April 5, 2015Hey, that last comment counts as a bit of common sense.
