Security guard brawled with fan during A’s game on Monday
Things got out of hand during Oakland’s 8-5 win over the Giants on Monday night.
And it had nothing to do with the play on the field. In the stands at Oakland Coliseum, a security guard fought with a fan. Here is video that another fan, whose name is Shane Siegrist, shared on Twitter:

Sounds like people watching the brawl were a little too excited to see it unfold. But that might just be my interpretation.
The Oakland A’s issued a statement after the game:
“During tonight’s game, there was an incident involving a security guard. We contract with a third-party security company and are currently investigating the situation. Violence in any form is not acceptable. We take this incident seriously.”

Siegrist responded to that tweet with this view of what happened: “I was sitting in that section, the security guard assaulted an innocent (woman). She came back and got booed then flipped everyone off.”
