Royals’ Nathan Karns managed to fit 51 pieces of gum in his mouth

Royals right-hander Nathan Karns is with the team while he is on the 60-day disabled list because of a forearm injury.

Karns was spotted by Fox Sports Kansas City cameras on Saturday as he worked on strengthening his jaw. Karns managed to get 51 pieces of bubblegum in his mouth, but fell 7 pieces shy of the franchise record.
