First-base umpire Joe West hit in head by ball thrown from stands
There is no excuse for this.
During Friday night’s Brewers-Marlins game at Miller Park in Milwaukee, first-base umpire Joe West was hit in the back of the head by something that appeared to be a ball.

Clark Spencer, the Marlins beat writer for the Miami Herald, reported that the ball was thrown from the stands.
West seemed fine, which is good to hear.
