Fan pays more on two tickets to Game 5 of NBA Finals than a house costs in KC
For this price, you should have the chance to hold the NBA championship trophy. Or have NBA commissioner Adam Silver bring you a drink.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell reported that someone* dropped $133,000 for two floor seats for Monday’s Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena.
*I’m going out on a limb and guessing it’s a Warriors fan
A person has paid $133,000 on the Warriors resale site for 2 floor tickets to tonight's Game 5 of the NBA Finals. It is an NBA record sale.

An ESPN story said that a Warriors season-ticket holder sold the seats on the team’s Ticketmaster resale site Sunday night, and with buyer fees at 15 percent, whoever paid the princely sum also doled out $17,000 on ticket fees.
According to Zillow.com, the average cost of a house in Kansas City is $120,100, so these tickets cost more than many houses are worth in KC.
