Tom Brady had unreported concussion last season, says wife Gisele Bündchen
While talking with Charlie Rose on “CBS This Morning,” Gisele Bündchen casually dropped some big news.
She said that her husband, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, had a concussion last season and that he’s had more than one.
“He had a concussion last year,” Bündchen said. “I mean he has concussions pretty much every — you know, we don’t talk about it but he does have concussions. I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for your body to go through like, through that kind of aggression like, all the time — that cannot be healthy for you, right?”
WBZ-TV in Boston said the Patriots had no comment about Bündchen’s revelation. The Boston Globe said that Brady was not listed with a concussion on any of the Patriots’ injury reports last season.
While the NFL last year announced a $100 million plan to develop new technology and increase research into the effects of head injuries, the league was criticized frequently for its handling of players. In the very first game of the 2016 season, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton took repeated shots to the head from Denver Broncos players.
