Royals will be wearing pink Mother’s Day uniforms this weekend
When asked about the special uniforms that the Royals had hanging in their stalls for games on Saturday and Sunday, relief pitcher Peter Moylan offered a special insight.
“They’re pink,” Moylan said.
OK, that’s actually not special. Fans watching at Kauffman Stadium and on television will see the Royals wearing pink-trimmed uniforms.
It’s Mother’s Day weekend, so that’s why the blue is gone. You’ll note the script Royals is pink. The players will have pink socks and shoes, as well. Here is a look:

“This is the first year that we’ve worn the Mother’s Day uniform two days in a row, which I think is really special,” Royals manager Ned Yost said. “The chance to recognize our moms, because everybody’s mom is special, so I think it’s a cool thing.”
The first 10,000 female fans at Sunday’s game will receive a special sun hat.
