Alcides Escobar starting a double play was Royals’ only highlight Monday, but it was incredible
That was just plain ugly. The Royals’ 12-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Monday night contained perhaps just one highlight. But it was a beauty.
Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar somehow started a double play on this hard-hit ball in the seventh inning. Getting a glove on the ball was nice. The flip to Whit Merrifield was even better.
